… but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. Jeremiah 23:28a

It’s a great privilege to share the word of God to others. Coming to God’s word on the book of Jeremiah made me think of how do we handle the His word as we speak it.

Several reflections on how to handle faithfully.

1. Faithfully speaking the word of God meant eagerly studying it, handling it carefully, to find God’s truth, to embrace, to realize it with such utmost value.

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Acts 17:11

2. It also means that I have to also not just know the truth but to be dependent on how to speak consistent to the character of God, thus I have to rely big-time on the Holy Spirit

“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. John 15:26

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13

3. Lastly, I have to learn from Jesus on how He lived and talked to people, to learn His graciousness and loving compassion as He spoke.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

To the one reading, may you have a powerful and personal revelation of God as you continue to read and meditate upon His word! May God also bless your sharing with grace and love as you speak God’s word to others. God bless you
